I. Who we are
We are Big Hat Gaming. We create video games as well as assets for video games and other interactive media.
Our website address is: https://bighatgaming.com.
II. In Plain English
We don’t want your information at all, in any way. We don’t want to transfer OUR information across the Internet, and we assume you don’t either. We will never ask you for information when we don’t absolutely have to. Due to some services that may be included in our games in the future, such as Valve’s Steamworks, or Epic Games’ online services, we may have to ask for your information to allow you to log into and use these services. We don’t even want to do that, truth be told, but we DO want to provide the best experience possible. To reiterate: We don’t want your personal information, and when we ask for it, it is because we are required to.
Read the legalese below, because if we had to write it, you have to read it. It’s only fair.
III. Game Services
Game services include Epic Online Services (EOS) by Epic Games, Inc. and Steamworks by Valve Corporation. Because of the differences in the services, as well as the natures of the services, the privacy policies for these services must be defined separately from that of the website.
EOS is a cross-platform suite of services by Epic Games, Inc. which allows developers to provide services in their products such as leaderboards, match-making, achievements, and more, without tying the Product to a single platform. These platforms include, but are not limited to: Steam, Epic Games, Xbox Live, and others.
Steamworks is, as the website for Steamworks states, a set of tools and services that allows developers to include certain user experiences in their Products. These services include, but are not limited to, achievements, leaderboards, friends lists, in-game chat with friends, and more.
Currently, we do not have any products that implement a game service. Please check back often as we do have products planned that will use the game services listed above. When this is the case, this privacy policy will be updated.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Aside from comments, your data is not shared in any way with third-party services.
Your contact information
Any data you provide to Big Hat Gaming will be used solely for the purposes of contacting you in regards to an inquiry initiated by you. We will never sell your personal information, nor will we use this information for any marketing purposes. Again, we hate spam. We instantly delete it and never do business with any company that would utilize such business practices. We assume you feel the same.
